Voting insights online
I would like to commend The Spokesman-Review for their excellent print coverage of the various candidates for office in the upcoming Aug. 17 primary election, and also for their wonderful website election guide (www.spokesman .com/pages/2010-election).
However, The Spokesman-Review’s coverage is (thus far) perhaps a bit lacking when it comes to Washington state Supreme Court judicial elections, in which case one might want to consult www.votingforjudges.org. Both of these websites should provide voters with sufficient information to allow them to select the candidate of their choice from among the somewhat bewildering selection presented on the ballot.
While I am generally suspect of the press as having a bias, I must confess that both of the indicated websites appear to be free of bias and thus reliable guides to voters. I therefore urge voters to consult these resources prior to marking and mailing their ballots.
