Driver arrested after collision with police car

A Spokane Police officer in a patrol cruiser was involved in a collision with another vehicle early today, and the driver of the vehicle was arrested for driving under the influence, police said this morning. Reports indicate that the accident occurred just before 1 a.m. at Fourth Avenue and Browne Street. The officer and other driver were not injured. The police vehicle, which was struck in the front, was considered a total loss, said Officer Tim Moses, police spokesman.
