Anthony rumors fly

Trade speculation surrounding the Orlando Magic could intensify in the days ahead, thanks to Denver Nuggets forward Carmelo Anthony. With Anthony doing nothing to quell rumors that he intends to leave the Nuggets next summer via free agency, a report circulated Tuesday on cbssports.com that Anthony has the Magic and the New York Knicks at the top of his list of preferred trade destinations. Magic President of Basketball Operations Otis Smith told the Orlando Sentinel that he has not had any talks with the Nuggets about a potential trade involving Anthony. Anthony finished sixth in last season’s Most Valuable Player voting after he averaged 28.2 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.
