Killer’s daughter on ‘20/20’ tonight

ABC’s “20/20” tonight will interview Spokane resident Melissa Moore, daughter of serial killer Keith Jesperson. Jesperson was known as the “Happy Face Killer” for the smiley faces he drew at murder scenes and in letters to the media. Moore, author of the book “Shattered Silence,” talks about her life after she learned of her father’s crimes. Moore wanted to include information about resources to help people in need, such as the Hope House women’s shelter, according to a news release from Hope House. A “20/20” crew filmed at the local shelter for women, and interviewed LeeAnn Winters, a woman who used the shelter to climb out of addiction and homelessness. The story will air at 10 p.m. on KXLY.
