Police arrest man for malicious harassment

Spokane Police arrested a 22-year-old man Friday night for malicious harassment after he and another man threatened two women with a rifle and a yard tool. In the area of 5th Avenue and Arthur Street, two black adult females said two white men shouted racial slurs and threatened them, Spokane Police said. Police located the two men in the area later, and they admitted to the harassment. At that time police recovered the “rifle,” which turned out to be a pellet rifle. The other man, a 42-year-old, will be charged at a later date, police said.
