Ground zero tolerance

We must not forget that as Americans we have guaranteed protections in our Constitution in regard to religious freedom. Unless there are known criminals or conspirators involved in the building of the mosque, we must stand on the principle of religious freedom.

This should not be a question of partisan politics or prejudice, which seems to be dominating the discussion. Where are the voices of reason?

This is not a controversial matter. Those who are making it so are extremists who have their own prejudicial agendas or are ignorant of the principle involved.

Shame on us. We are better than this.

For the record, I’m a Christian.
