Doctors removing knife plunged in man’s head

A 19-year-old man in Spokane underwent surgery this morning to remove a knife that was lodged in his head following a stabbing about 2 a.m. in the downtown area.
Spokane police said they arrested Mary M. Goings, 21, about two hours after the stabbing and booked her into Spokane County Jail on a charge of first-degree assault.
The victim was reported in serious condition at a Spokane hospital following the incident at Second Avenue and Howard Street.
Police said the man maintained consciousness despite having a knife blade stuck in his head.

I have said before, and will say it again—and that is the fact that the city needs to take a bulldozer and completely level to the frik’n ground, all houses 10 street and lower on South Hill…then they need to take all the lowlifes that inhabit the majority of those houses and put them on an island in the middle of nowhere and make a reality show on it…Is there something in the water in Spokane?

I’d actually subject myself to the torture, also known as watching the Spokane City Council meeting, to witness the presentation!

I have absolutely no idea what’s behind this matter, however I do grieve for this man. I pray that he survives, recovers, and will remember this negative in his life - and change if needed. I’ve been wounded three times and know what “it’s like”. To remain conscious in this state is something that I would not wish this trama on anyone. It’s not fun watching the blood gush from your wound, feel the unbelievable pain, and know that you can’t do anything about it. DC perhaps you need consider these factors before you condemn this man???

Another news organization stated that the injured man suffered with the knife entering through his face. That must have been horrible enough to deal with but then to have the weapon lodged in his head is truly horrendous.

OK…this thread has an odd kilter all its own and I do pray for this unfortunate fellow towards a speedy and complete recovery. KREM indicates it was a non-life threatening wound to the face. Seems to be a lot of “stabbin’” going on around this town lately.
That being said I am tactlessly remiss and cannot resist synonyms over this “knife in the noggin” incident…
Could it have been:
A Buck to the brain
A Henkel in the head
A Schrade in the scalp
A Skinner to the skull
A Cutco to the cranium
A Machete to the medulla
A Gerber in the ganglion
or
A Ginsu in the groin (antonym)

In the Down Town Area…could include the Davenport, or the River Park Square… or McDonalds on Third Avenue… I feel perfectly safe walking around “Downtown Areas”…. this was seemingly a One on One attack… likely fueled by alcohol or drugs….. Perhaps we can look at the police blotter for the day and give us an ?Address? or cross streets Please…. sketchy reporting here…… it is not any more unsafe ” in the Down/Town areas than many other places in the city. Help us out here… and some follow up on this rather limited article…. “ie “who, what, when and where? john

Oh, and DCplace… there are low income elderly, disabled vets, mentally ill and seriously disadvantaged folks that live downtown between Division and Maple/Ash and 10th avenue to the River… and not many of them are “Low LIfe’s” ….. my view is that the “Low Lifes” are the ones that profess to be Christian, and then ignore the “Christs” in our midst….. john Olsen ( give us your name big boy)!

Man o Man, lol…Everybody took that post, hook-line-sinker and all…You probably held hands with your family and prayed for my soul…I don’t honestly believe they should bulldoze that area of houses…Other than who the police can catch, there is absolutely nothing we can do about the crime and the lowlifes that inhabit EVERY area of Spokane…and for those that are already pulling the religion card, perhaps they should check out the websites www.skepticsannotatedbible.com and www.godisimaginary.com Try those sites on for size…I don’t want to follow any diety that plays favorites such as helping this man through but allowing 11 million people perish in the most terrible of ways under a madman during WWII…
