Collision with truck injures teen cyclist
A 14-year-old Coeur d’Alene boy was injured Wednesday when his bicycle collided with a pickup truck as it exited a driveway.
The boy was northbound on Government Way near Hanley Street about 1:40 p.m. Wednesday when he crashed into a 2006 Lincoln Mark LT pickup driven by Marty D. Frantz, 59, of Post Falls. Lantz was attempting to leave a driveway and drive south on Government Way, Idaho State Police reported.
Neither Lantz nor his passenger was injured. The boy was taken to a Spokane hospital; his condition was not available Wednesday.
ISP said the boy was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
