Moses Lake teen exchanges gunfire with deputies
MOSES LAKE — No one was hurt in a shootout between Grant County sheriff’s deputies and a 13-year-old boy at Moses Lake.
The sheriff’s office says deputies were called to a home Wednesday afternoon on a report from a woman who said her son was throwing rocks at her car.
Deputies say when they arrived the boy began firing at them with a .22 caliber rifle. Shots hit patrol cars. Deputies returned fire.
The boy finally obeyed commands to stop firing and was arrested.
Two deputies are on paid leave while the Columbia Basin Investigative Team handles the case.

Edwin I am amazed you can type over the noise of those Black Helicopters you hear hovering over all of the grassy knolls.
Who would you have investigate the incident? The ASB Class President from the kids Junior High?

The young man is very fortunate to still be alive.
What, on earth, was he doing with a firearm? Is this another case of a bored teen, with nothing to do during the long summer vacation? And why couldn’t his mother control him?

Notice how quicly the story about the Cop killing a preacher outside of his own nursery got forgotten?

I am here tard just waiting for some of your wisdom. plus i dont care about moses Lake i have a very low chance of getting killed by police there, but in Spokane that is another thing.
There Tard are you happy now? Do you have a comment nope didn’t think so. How about some guts and use your real name?
The story didn’t say but this could be a fatherless boy. Boys need men in their lives. Or they turn out like tard.

Now, now Lewis lets think through your theory that he maybe a fatherless boy and this resulted in him deciding it was ok to shoot at a police car. So, all boys who grow-up without fathers become want away adolescent thugs if I understand you correctly. That makes a whole lot of sense considering that this as from the truth. I bet deep down though that you wish you were that kid and are actually envious of him since you seem to have such a hatred of police officers and he did something that you only wish you had the guts to do. Oh ya, listing your first name shows some major bravado!!

I think that Lewis raised a valid point. Children do need caring, responsible men in their lives; whether that is a father, an uncle, or a caring member of the community.
What I don’t agree with is dog piling him. Yeah, his rants against the SPD get a little old but even at that he raises valid points. I would just encourage limiting attacks on the SPD to particular officers, such as Thompson, which have demonstrated through their actions that they can not be trusted. Not all officers are cut from the same cloth.

Those cops need extra range time ASAP. They exchanged gunfire and missed? That’s pathetic. Next time this worthless kid is going to kill someone.
lewis8457 on August 27 at 9:09 a.m.
maybe his mom will move to spokane and he gets in a gun fight he will be dead.
Maybe they were trying to miss.
lewis8457 on August 27 at 9:19 a.m.
efferepublicans where is your first name? My real first name is more bravo then your hide behind alias.
I had my last name on here but I had to many idiots coming to my door.
And no I would never shoot at the police and if I did it would be to save my life………..and I would not miss.
Actually until they killed Otto I liked the cops but after that I got mad that innocents can be put down before their day in court. And what really makes me mad is getting bashed by bloggers that think the cops can kill you with no ramifications.
I carry a licensed weapon and the only reason I carry is to protect me from the police. So make fun of me if you want, but my fear is real.
