Winds, wildfire danger in Eastern Washington
Forecasters say a cold front blowing through the Northwest today is bringing winds that increase the wildfire danger in Eastern Washington.
The National Weather Service has a red flag warning in effect through Thursday evening from the east side of the Cascades through northern Idaho and into western Montana.
Forecasters expect winds of 15 to 25 mph with gust to 40. Grass, brush and trees are dry from the hot spell and could easily burn.
Forecasters also say blowing dust could be a problem through tonight in Eastern Washington.
