‘No’ isn’t a plan
The Republican leadership is calling for extension of tax cuts for the rich and cuts to Social Security for the elderly. Steal from the poor elderly and give it to the rich. These are the people who ran the country into ruin under President Bush and they want to do it again.
The sin of the Democrats? They couldn’t fix the mess created by the Republicans quick enough. The solution? Give the country back to the Republicans. And what the Democrats have done has helped enough people that we have not had the riots of the 1930s. No one argues with the Republicans when they call the Democrats “failures.” While they are doing OK, they fear that they might be the next to lose a job and go along with the impatience to fix the economy.
The Republicans have messed with every attempt of the Democrats to fix it and then blamed them for not fixing it. What if the mess was just hard to fix?
The absolutely amazing thing is that the Republicans have no ideas except how to avoid cooperating. How can just saying no be so attractive?
What happened to the thinking Americans?
