SCRAPS holding kitten adoption event

The Spokesman-Review

The Spokane County Regional Animal Protection Service reports that 100 cats and kittens arrived at the shelter in the past week, prompting an adoption special this weekend.

“We have been inundated with cats in the last week and need to do as many adoptions as we can over this weekend,” Nancy Hill, SCRAPS director, said in a news release.

Many of the cats already are spayed or neutered, shelter officials said. To help ease the shelter’s cat population, the feline adoption fee will be reduced by $25 through Saturday.

SCRAPS is at 2521 N. Flora Road; hours today and Saturday are noon to 5:30 p.m. For more information, call (509) 477-2532 or visit www.spokanecounty.org/SCRAPS.
