Initiatives’ impact misstated

In a story on Friday about Washington state ballot measures that would privatize liquor sales, the Associated Press reported erroneously the estimated annual loss in state revenues. State officials say Initiative 1100 could cost the state up to $85 million over five years, not a single year. Initiative 1105’s estimated loss of up to $520 million also was calculated over five years.
