Three killed in Sunday crash identified
The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office has identified the three young men killed in a car crash Sunday. They are Anthony K. Archuleta, 21; Spencer A. Fry, 25; and Joseph M. Adams, 21, all of Spokane.
The three were killed when a BMW traveling at least 90 mph in a 25 mph zone left the road and smashed into two pine trees, according to the sheriff’s office.
Traffic investigators said the 1991 BMW 325 was headed west when the driver lost control on a right-hand curve at 44th Avenue and Eastern Road in southeast Spokane County. The car flew off the road and sheared off a 15-inch-thick pine tree before hitting another tree.
All three died of massive blunt-force trauma, according to Detective David Thornburg.
Toxicology results won’t be known for a month. Sheriff’s deputies said Sunday that a mostly empty bottle of whiskey was found inside the crumpled car, as was a shotgun that was smashed in half by the impact.

Condolences to the families and friends of the young men killed in this horrific car wreck.
The young often see themselves as being invincible, this crash proves otherwise. Driving at a high rate of speed is dangerous enough, add liquor [if indeed the driver was under the influence] to the mix of speed, youth, and invincibility and it becomes a recipe for disaster. Sadly, this could have been avoided had those involved made better choices. Choices have consequences.

I knew Spencer…..He was a fighter, but some battles just can’t be won. RIP bear, you’ll be missed. My deepest condolences to the family and the rest of his friends.
