In brief: Woman’s Club hosts breakfast

CLIFF/CANNON – Santa Claus will visit the Woman’s Club of Spokane, 1428 W. Ninth Ave., Dec. 18 at 9 a.m. for breakfast.

Children and their families can enjoy a hot breakfast with holiday entertainment and photos with Santa.

Tickets are $15 per person or $25 for two.

Tree lighting, caroling planned

MILLWOOD – The annual Millwood Christmas tree lighting ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. Friday at Inland Empire Paper, 3320 N. Argonne Road. There will be a performance by The Company Ballet Dance Troupe and an appearance by Santa Claus. The evening will include hot chocolate, cookies and caroling. The event is sponsored by Inland Empire Paper, which is owned by Cowles Co., owners of The Spokesman-Review.

Shred documents, donate toys at ICB

SPOKANE VALLEY – Intermountain Community Bank, 5211 E. Sprague Ave., will have a free document shred day Friday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event also is an opportunity for participants to get into the holiday spirit and donate to ICB’s Toys for Tots toy drive.
