EMERSON/GARFIELD – The Spokane office of the Washington State Department of Revenue, 1330 N. Washington St., will hold a free tax workshop for new and small business owners on Wednesday from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Free fitness classes for seniors

SPOKANE – Area senior citizens have the opportunity to get out and exercise together for free.

The Spokane First Church of the Nazarene, 9004 N. Country Homes Blvd., will hold classes Monday, Wednesday and Friday, beginning at 9 a.m. each day. Classes include arm and leg exercises, weight lifting and step aerobics.

The classes are open to all seniors and are free.
