Accentuate the positive

We really appreciate your front-page story and picture concerning the Union Gospel Mission (Dec. 6) and similar articles in the past. We think you are tremendously contributing to the health of our community by publishing positive efforts that are going on. These stories lift our spirits and probably encourage many of us to help others in our own way.

We also commend The S-R for spearheading the Christmas Fund every year and the reporters who make the articles so interesting.
