Hold your fire

I think it’s strange that people are complaining about the police shooting at someone who is threatening them or someone else with a weapon.

If they were threatened by a drunk with a gun who would not put it down, what would the complainers prefer that the police do? With the country awash in idiots who have their own personal arsenals, I’m afraid that shootouts will become more common.
