Snow cools city retail

Come on, everyone, let’s go downtown shopping! There’s plenty of parking. Of course, there is plenty of parking. The plows moved the snow to the middle and to the sides where the parking meters are.

To say the least, it is dangerous to park and try to navigate the snow and ice buildup when you leave your car to get to the stores. There goes the parking meter revenue, there goes the sales tax revenue. No wonder the city is in a financial disaster.

If Costco or Fred Meyer failed to clear their parking lots so customers could walk safely to shop in the store, they would be out of business.

Wake up, City Hall, and properly clear the snow so the citizens can support local business and the downtown.
