Area roundup: Hill scores 30 as Post Falls beats Ferris

Connor Hill led all scorers with 30 points and added six rebounds and Michael Hillman added 10 points as Post Falls (3-0) outdueled Ferris (0-1) in nonleague action at Ferris.

Jordan Tonani hit three 3-pointers and finished with 24 points and seven rebounds to lead the Saxons.

Mt. Spokane 59, East Valley 53: Hunter Hahn scored 18 points and Kellen Clute added nine points and nine rebounds to lead the Wildcats (1-1) over the Knights (1-1) at EV. Drew Daly led the Knights with 17 points, hitting five 3-point shots.

Cheney 73, Freeman 52: Eric Igbinoba scored a career-high 18 points and added seven rebounds and four assists, Parker Franklin added 18 points and the Blackhawks (4-0) beat the Scotties (2-4) in Cheney.

West Valley 60, Toppenish 41: Brady Bagby was 8 of 8 from 3-point range and finished with a game-high 28 points and Jake Love added 14 points and 10 rebounds as the Eagles (2-0) rolled to a win against the Wildcats (2-2) at WV.

Clarkston 73, Pendleton (Ore.) 56: Trey Sobotta poured in 33 points and the Bantams (3-1) beat the host Buckaroos to win the championship game of the Pendleton tournament in Pendleton, Ore.

Sandpoint 58, Pasco 43: Cole Fuhrman led all scorers with 18 points and the Bulldogs (3-1) beat the Pirates on the second day of the Pendleton tournament.

Medical Lake 46, Riverside 36: Kevin Fisher hit 6 of his 12 shots for 17 points and the Cardinals (2-1) held off the Rams (1-2).

Kootenai 51, Mullan 37: Jacob Zarpentine scored a game-high 24 points and adding 12 rebounds and six steals in the Warriors’ (1-2) win over the Tigers (0-6) at the North Star Tournament in Wallace.

Lakeside 67, Wallace 64 (OT): Tucker Louie-McGee finished with 15 points and the Knights (3-1) outscored the Miners (2-2) 14-11 in overtime to win the North Star Tournament in Wallace.

Republic 50, Columbia 25: Tyler Bowe finished with 17 points and the Tigers (2-3) outscored the Lions (1-3) 35-13 in the second and third quarters to pull away in Hunters.

Moses Lake Christian 35, Odessa Harrington 33: Connor Webb scored 23 points to lead all scorers and the Lions (1-1) edged the host Titans (1-3).

Moscow 49, Lakeland 38: Josh Helbling scored a game-high 19 points and the Bears (1-2, 1-0) used a 21-6 edge in the second quarter to knock off the Hawks (0-3, 0-1) in their league opener in Moscow.

Kellogg 55, Bonners Ferry 42: Nick Serrano led a balanced attack for the Wildcats (4-2, 1-0) with 12 points and seven rebounds in their win over the Badgers (1-2, 0-1) in Kellogg. Aaron Moe had 20 points for BF.

St. Maries 64, Timberlake 38: Zach Lehman had 16 points and five rebounds, Jake Mercer added 14 points and six boards and the Lumberjacks (4-1, 1-0) jumped out to a 19-1 lead after one quarter to beat the Tigers (0-5, 0-1) in Spirit Lake.

Springdale 50, Kettle Falls 40: Rodney Abrahamson had 16 points and Alvin Welch added 11 as the Chargers (3-0, 1-0) edged the Bulldogs (1-4, 0-2) for a win in Kettle Falls. Kasey Morgan scored 16 points and added 20 rebounds for KF.

Reardan 71, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 63: Roy Walser’s double-double (26 points and 10 rebounds) led the Indians (2-2, 2-0) to a win over the Broncos (3-1, 0-1) in Reardan.

Davenport 56, Liberty 51: Josh Likkel tallied 28 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks to lead the Gorillas (2-0, 1-0) to a win over the Lancers (0-3, 0-1) in Davenport.

Inchelium 55, Curlew 52: Tyler Zacherle tallied 25 points to lead the Hornets (1-2, 1-1) to a close win over the Cougars (2-2, 0-1) in Curlew. Dakota Drennan had 18 points to lead the Cougars, who outrebounded the Hornets 53-36.

Wellpinit 70, Selkirk 43: Kennedy Seyler just missed out on a triple-double, finishing with 29 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists, and the Redskins (3-0, 2-0) jumped on the Rangers (1-4, 0-1) for a 15-point lead at halftime in Ione. Drake Wynne added 17 points and eight boards for Wellpinit.

Rosalia 67, Pomeroy 28: Nathan Richards tallied 19 points, Flash Hodges chipped in 14 points and five steals and the Spartans (3-1, 2-0) forced 26 turnovers to blow by the Pirates (0-4, 0-2) in Rosalia.

Colton 61, LaCrosse-Washtucna 57: Josh Straughan led all scorers with 23 points, and after building a 15-point lead through one quarter the Wildcats (2-2, 2-0) held on to beat the host Tigercats (2-2, 0-1). Darcy Stamper had 15 points to lead LCW.

Tekoa-Oakesdale 55, Garfield-Palouse 50: Max Mueller recorded a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds and Sicha Tallman added 11 points and seven boards as the Nighthawks (1-4, 1-1) picked up their first win, outlasting the visiting Vikings (2-1, 0-1). Blake Slocum and J.B. Lange combined for 28 points for GP.
