Parking fee deters shoppers

On a recent weekend my wife and a friend went shopping downtown. They paid the $3 fee to park for two hours at the parking lot and planned to only be shopping for a couple hours.

However, when they got back to their cars two hours and seven minutes later they had a parking ticket. That extra seven minutes cost them $60! Oh, if you pay in 14 days they drop it to $40. This is an absolute outrage.

People don’t like paying to park as it is, but to have this type of penalty for going over the limit is just outrageous. From now on we will be going to the malls where we get free parking.
