The ultimate leak awaits

As politicians and intelligence agents engage in deadly skulduggery, their dirty work adversely impacts people throughout the world. Not surprisingly, whistle-blowers like Daniel Ellsberg of Pentagon Papers fame and Julian Assange, founder of WikiLeaks, are singled out and harassed by those whose evil deeds are exposed (see S-R articles of Nov. 29 and 30 and Dec 1).

Many infuriated by such unauthorized disclosures of classified information claim the leaks endanger the lives of U.S. servicemen and undermine foreign policy. Such critics would do well to contemplate the following words of Jesus: “… there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested: neither [is] there anything kept secret, but that it should come abroad.”

Much in the writings of esteemed astronomers, physicists and others indicates a “time” will come when a complete, infallible record of human events is made manifest. If so, how will the quick and the dead justify their evil deeds?
