Crosswalk shelter seeking teen gifts
Crosswalk, the shelter for homeless and at-risk teenagers, is in need of presents for its annual Christmas party.
“Everyone is feeling the pinch and this year we have very little to give the kids who use our shelter and drop-in center,” said Bridget Cannon, director of youth services at Volunteers of America, which runs Crosswalk. “We’re starting to panic a little.”
VOA asks that donations of unwrapped presents such as hoodies, backpacks and gift cards, be delivered to the shelter at 525 W. Second Ave., Spokane.
A complete wish list is available online at www.voaspokane.org/WishList2010 or by calling (509) 838-6596.
