Motor home fire claims life in West Central Spokane

Spokane firefighters are investigating the cause of a motor home fire that killed a lone occupant late Saturday in the city’s West Central Neighborhood.

The fire at 11:48 p.m. at 1806 W. Gardner was knocked down in 10 minutes after threatening an adjacent apartment building and home. Water was used to prevent the fire’s spread.

Fire officials said the deceased apparently had been unable to escape the hot and fast-moving fire. The name of the victim was not immediately released.
