Eagles’ Sherritt, Powers make first team

Eastern Washington senior linebacker J.C. Sherritt and junior center Chris Powers landed spots on the The Sports Network/Fathead.com NCAA Football Championship Subdivision All-American first team, announced Wednesday.

Eagles junior running back Taiwan Jones made the second team and EWU junior safety Matt Johnson was a third-team pick.

EWU will meet Delaware on Jan. 7 in Frisco, Texas, for the national championship.
