Get over political pouting

A few days ago I was behind a pickup displaying a window sticker that read “America – I can’t believe you elected Obama.” It occurred to me that the person who affixed the sticker could use a brief civics refresher course.

In America, everyone is entitled to their viewpoint and opinion. Having an opinion does not ensure that it is correct, or even if it is correct that it will prevail.

In any election issue, nearly half of us don’t get our way. That is part of this messy system we call democracy.

If you voted, you did your part and your voice was heard. Now get over it and grow up.
