LCHS debate, speech places 3rd

The Lake City High School debate and speech team placed third overall at the Coeur d’Alene Challenge tournament, held at Coeur d’Alene High School in early December.

Lake City students who received individual awards include Nick Kuisti and GG Templeman, second place in Varsity Policy Debate; Kuisti and Jayden Requena, first place in Open Duo Interpretation; Kuisti also received first place in Open Humorous Interpretation; Requena second place for Open Humorous Interpretation; Devin Walker first place in Open Congressional Debate, first place in Open Dramatic Interpretation and first place in Open Editorial Commentary; Jennifer Snow and Rachael Hogan, third place in Novice Policy Debate; Snow also second place in Novice Oratory; Scout McClure and Chase Zitny, second place in Novice Duo Interpretation; Madison Ehrlich second place in Novice Humorous Interpretation; Tabatha Poelstra second place in Open Congressional Debate and first place in Open Extemporaneous; Zach Culpepper fourth place in Novice Expository; and Sarah-Rose Taylor finalist in Open Interpretive Reading and a finalist Editorial Commentary.
