I am in complete agreement with Bill Stimson’s letter of Dec. 22 regarding our Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture. It bears repeating that this institution “holds Spokane’s long-term memory,” our cultural heritage which is at the heart of who we are.
This museum doesn’t just house a bunch of artifacts of the past. It uses its collections to tell us the stories of our origins, our ancestors, our creations, our crimes, our accomplishments, our neighbors, our contributions great and small that made a difference in the past, now and in the future.
Closing the MAC is simply unthinkable.
