Police recover stolen packages

Spokane police on Christmas Eve recovered several items known to be stolen after receiving a number of complaints from residents who have had packages stolen off their porches. Police recovered the items after spotting a vehicle thought to be involved in the thefts at a north Spokane pawn shop. The driver was arrested on unrelated traffic charges. They are encouraging anyone who believes they had packages stolen from their homes to call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233. The packages were stolen from South Hill near the Cannon Hill neighborhood, deeper southeast areas of south Spokane and near Whitworth University.
