Species law the worst

Mr. Lloyd Zimmerman’s letter (Dec. 25, “Wolves return overpriced”), is right on track. However, I would like to contribute more information to this political disaster. The Endangered Species Act is by far the worst and the most powerful law ever passed by Congress.

It ranks with “Obamacare” as to how many pages it contained and why it was virtually impossible to read and comprehend and the same type of “con job” on members of Congress. You have no time to read it, so hurry up and sign it, and so both houses of Congress passed the ESA with only a small handful voting no. President Nixon signed the Endangered Species Act on Dec. 28, 1973.

Although some species had to be protected, the ESA can be used as an abusive tool, like the wolf, to devastate game herds and sport hunting and destroy the livelihood of our nation’s ranchers like what the spotted owl did to the timber industry.

There is no monetary limit on how much of your tax dollars can be spent on any certain species, and it has the power to move everyone out of the Pacific Northwest.
