The weekly schedule of city public meetings can be found on the city’s website at government/citycouncil.

CityCable 5, the city of Spokane’s government-access cable station, recently announced additional live public meeting coverage and other new programming for 2011. To accommodate the changes, CityCable 5 will change the time of some programming, including replays of Spokane City Council and Spokane County Commission meetings.

Beginning in January, CityCable 5 will air Spokane Transit Authority meetings live on the third Wednesday of the month; starting at 5:30 p.m. City Plan Commission meeting hearings held on Wednesday evenings will also be carried live.

City Council meeting replays will move to Thursdays at 6 p.m. from Wednesdays at 6 p.m. County commission replays will move to 8 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month to the second and fourth Thursdays at 9 p.m. “Make a Difference: Jury Duty in Washington,” a weekly program about the jury selection process and what is expected of jurors if they have to serve, will move from Thursdays at 8 p.m. to Sundays at 6 p.m. The program plays weekly.

Additional new programming to be shown on CityCable 5, beginning in January includes American Democracy Television, on Mondays at 9 a.m. and Saturdays at 5:30 p.m.; the American Veteran, a monthly video magazine, on Fridays at 6 p.m. and Sundays at 7:30 p.m.; VA News This Week, on Sundays at 10 a.m. and Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m.; and the Legislative Updates/Senate Sessions from Olympia, on Mondays at 9 a.m., Fridays at 10 p.m. and Sundays at 4:30 p.m.
