Stockton, Saxons clobber Chiefs

Taylor Kamitomo tallied 20 points and 11 rebounds and Chris Wilson poured in five 3-pointers to score 19 points to lead Ferris (6-1) to a 82-47 drubbing of visiting Moses Lake (3-6) in nonleague action Thursday.

The Saxons held the Chiefs to just 13 first-half points and then outscored them 56-34 in the second half to pull away for the easy win.

Riley Stockton added 15 points and six assists for the Saxons.

East Valley 59, Sandpoint 56: Jake Reynolds scored 16 points to go along with 15 rebounds and the Knights (5-1) held off the visiting Bulldogs (4-4).

The Bulldogs were led by 26 points from Blaine Shultz.

Davenport 63, St. John-Endicott 48: Joey Gunning led all scorers with 23 points and also dished out six assists and the Gorillas (3-3) put the game away by outscoring the Eagles (2-5) 21-9 in the fourth quarter in Davenport.

SunDome Shootout

Colville 50, Burbank 36: Miguiel Anaya notched a game-high 16 points, hitting a pair of 3-pointers, and the Indians (4-3) used a 20-point fourth quarter to pull away for the win against the Coyotes (5-5) in Yakima. Alex Pond added 13 and Matt Hubbard 12 for the Indians in the win.

Colfax 57, North Mason 42: Trailing by eight to start the second half, the Bulldogs (5-1) used big scoring efforts from J.J. Robinson (21 points) and Brandon Gfeller (13) to outscore NM (3-7) 34-11 in the second half and pull off the comeback victory.

Ridgefield 49, Deer Park 38: Michael Potter paced the Spudders (6-3) with 18 points and the defense held the Stags’ (4-4) leading scorer, Uconn Peone, to just four points to earn the win. Zach Mohr hit five 3-pointers to lead the Stags with 16 points in the losing effort.

Riverside 48, La Salle 30: Jacob Biggs and Jordan Wood combined for 24 points and the Rams (4-5) hit 15 of 22 from the free-throw line to beat the Lightning (1-7).

Zillah 60, Lakeside 47: Mitchell Zapien scored a game-high 17 points as four players finished in double figures for the Leopards (7-2) against the Eagles. Ryan Gunderson had 14 points to lead Lakeside (4-5).

Reardan tournament

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 62, Reardan 46: Thunder Wellhausen scored 23 points to lead all scorers and Brandon Boutain added 15 points as the Warriors (9-0) won the championship game over the host Indians (5-4).

Wellpinit 66, Chewelah 55: Four Redskins players finished with double-digit points, helping them knock off the Cougars (4-6) in the consolation game. Greg Wynecoop led the Redskins (7-3) with 13 points and 14 rebounds. Nate Biancardi had 13 for the Cougars.

Rosalia tournament

Medical Lake 57, Liberty 51: Kevin Fishe’s 19 points led all scorers and Devon Prince added 13 points as the Cardinals (6-1) edged the Lancers (1-6) in the tournament’s opening game.

Rosalia 60, Asotin 46: Nathan Richards tallied 24 points and 12 rebounds and the host Spartans (8-1) handled the Panthers to advance to today’s championship game against Medical Lake.

Whitman Classic

Valley Christian 56, Overlake 52: Tyler Tipke led all scorers with 19 points, Craver Small chipped in 14 points and 10 rebounds and the Panthers (6-2) held off a late run by the Owls (2-8) to take third place in the tournament in Walla Walla.

Odessa-Harrington 56, Columbia 50 (OT): Justin Hunt tallied 19 points and Jared King added nine points and 17 rebounds as the Titans (3-6) outlasted the Lions (1-7).
