Centers provide full story

The Spokesman-Review

“Limited service pregnancy centers.” That’s a true characterization of centers that don’t facilitate a mother wanting to kill her unborn baby. But the charge of “giving misleading and inaccurate information” is false. (“Clinics should be truthful,” Letters, Jan. 30).

Alayna Becker’s friends reportedly didn’t “know what they (were) getting into” when they went to a life-affirming pregnancy center that offers material help and support to bring this new life into the world.

Does the pro-abortion Planned Parenthood show them ultrasounds of their pregnancy or inform of the physical development of their baby? Do they tell them of the severe depression and guilt that many women feel when they find out these things after the fact and realize that they have killed their own child? So much for “accuracy and transparency” at places where abortion is offered.

Many people, and especially women actively involved in life-affirming pregnancy centers, have experienced abortion or previously been involved in the abortion industry. What they now offer is love, life, truth and material support to those who feel hopeless enough to consider abortion, and renewed life, love and spiritual support to those who have already experienced this terrible tragedy.
