Pirates win 18th straight

Eric Beal hit 4 of 10 from 3-point range and finished with 30 points and nine assists as Whitworth (18-2, 11-0) won its 18th consecutive game, beating George Fox (10-10, 7-4) 98-89 in Northwest Conference action Saturday in Newberg, Ore. The victory clinched at least a share of the conference title.

Nate Montgomery added 19 points and 10 rebounds and David Riley tallied 13 points.

CC Spokane 91, Wenatchee Valley 62: Chaz Johnson notched 21 points and seven rebounds, hitting five 3-pointers, and the Sasquatch shot 50 percent from the floor to run away with the victory over the WVCC (4-15, 0-9) in Wenatchee.

Chris Pynch and Zach Humphrey each added 15 points for the Sasquatch (17-4, 7-2) as five players scored in double figures.

Eastern Utah 76, North Idaho 66: After leading by one at halftime, the Golden Eagles (16-8, 10-5) outscored the Cardinals 41-32 in the second half for a Scenic West Conference win in Price, Utah.

Renado Parker finished with 18 points to lead the Cardinals (21-3, 11-3), but the Eagles shot 14 of 30 from the field and 11 of 14 free throws after the break.
