A cool-headed homeowner is being credited with helping police apprehend two burglary suspects in Spokane.

The homeowner arrived at her house in the 4400 block of North Lincoln Street and saw two burglars inside a short time after 5 p.m. Thursday.

She called Spokane police and directed officers to the crime scene. An officer went into the home and confronted the burglars and arrested them with the help of a second officer.

Joshua L. Boyce, 36, and Eyvonne M. Bercier, 49, were booked into Spokane County Jail on charges of residential burglary and first-degree theft.

Precise information the homeowner gave a radio dispatcher helped officers move quickly to make the arrest, according to a press release.
