Reached The Dallas Mavericks have reached a tentative agreement to send Josh Howard, Drew Gooden and two other players to the Washington Wizards for swingman Caron Butler, center Brendan Haywood and guard DeShawn Stevenson, numerous NBA sources said.

Reunited Seattle Seahawks receivers coach Robert Prince is joining the coaching staff at Colorado, where he reunites with Buffaloes coach Dan Hawkins. Hawkins said Friday that Prince would be the passing game coordinator and receivers coach. Prince also coached receivers at Boise State when Hawkins coached there in 2001-2003.

Negotiated In the first case in the major leagues to go to a salary arbitration hearing this year, Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Corey Hart was awarded a raise from $3.25 million to $4.8 million. Hart hit .260 with 12 homers and 48 RBIs last season.

Unveiled Grambling State’s permanent tribute to longtime football coach Eddie Robinson is ready to be unveiled. An 18,000-square-foot museum honoring the late 57-year veteran coach, who died in 2007, will open on the Grambling campus today.

Pleaded Three of four Tennessee basketball players arrested during a traffic stop pleaded guilty to charges in the case. Tyler Smith pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm and possession of firearm with altered serial number, Brian Williams pleaded guilty to drug possession, and Cameron Tatum pleaded guilty to speeding. All charges against Melvin Goins were dropped.
