Shock add, delete at wide receiver

The Spokane Shock of Arena Football One announced the signing of wide receiver Justin Brown on Tuesday.

Brown, 6-foot-2 and 202 pounds, finished his collegiate career in 2008 at Hampton University.

He had 86 receptions for 1,370 yards and 11 touchdowns during two seasons with Hampton.

The Shock also released wide receiver Cleannord Saintil.

The Shock begin their season April 2 at the Arena against the Milwaukee Iron.

Women’s tennis

Idaho’s Maria Perevoshchikova (Western Athletic) and Whitworth’s Rachel Burns (Northwest) won conference players of the week awards.

Perevoshchikova, a senior from Russia, finished 4-0 during the week.

Burns, a junior from Longview, Wash., led the Pirates to two shutouts.
