Crews investigating second fire at Crestline apartment

The Spokesman-Review
An investigation is under way today to determine the cause of a fire that tore through a boarded-up apartment building that had been badly damaged in a fire in early January, fire officials said. The fire at 3004 N. Crestline Ave. was coming from the second floor windows at the building’s rear when firefighters arrived just before noon Wednesday, officials said. After the January fire, the building was vacated, utilities disconnected and windows boarded up. Portions of the floor were missing and the light-weight roof structure had been damaged. No one was injured Wednesday in fighting the weakened structure’s fire, which caused an estimated $75,000 in damage. The building may now be a total loss.
