Father and son suspected of selling pot to students
Police arrested a 20-year-old Spokane man and his father today on suspicion of selling marijuana to high school students in northwest Spokane.
Kruz Hawkins was arrested after he rode his bike to the parking lot of Pizza Pipeline on Wellesley Avenue, where police believe he sells $3 marijuana-laced baked goods to Shadle Park High School students during their lunch break, said Officer Jennifer DeRuwe.
About noon today detectives were searching a home at 2307 W. Crown Ave., where Hawkins lives with his father, Ricky Hawkins, 43. Police found a small marijuana growing operation inside.
The elder Hawkins was arrested for unlawful use of building – knowingly allowing drug sales to occur. Kruz Hawkins faces one count of delivery of a controlled substance.
Detectives had been investigating the two using undercover operations and surveillance, DeRuwe said.

What an idiot! An adult selling high schoolers rum and cokes at noon. Selling alcohol to a child is evil and darn right there should be societal, civil, law forbidding such nonsense. Now let’s democratically, by a majority of the vote of us Washington State citizens, legalize our Lord’s good green herb and democratically take back the freedom of stewarding this planet’s God-given abundance without undue and burdensome governmental interference! Laws, especially laws we the people have never made, have to at all times be subject to being changed by a popular vote of us, the people, or else “democracy” is in fact dead, and we are literally owned by laws made by other interests outside of the common vote of the citizenry! This is tyranny! Whether this is tyranny of a minority, tyranny of “special” interests, tyranny of government, or a combination thereof, tis by definition tyranny just the same. Let us not be owned, and let us vote for our freedom to get stoned! Amen.

I heard (directly from students) that the “baked goods” (is that redundant?) were rice crispy treats.
Apparently this bake sell had been going on for a while and was quite a boon to the operators.

They both sound like such winners. I don’t care if Marijuana is legalized or not, but as of now it is not. They look like the typically “scrubby-stoner” types who got hella made fun of back in high school. That was before they dropped out.
