Shadle secures District 3A

Chelsea Chandler and Aleisha Hathaway combined for 32 points and host Shadle Park (14-8) used a 17-1 second-quarter run to pull ahead for good, beating North Central (12-10) 55-41 Thursday and taking the District 8 3A title.

The Highlanders will take the district’s No. 1 seed to the 3A regional tournament while the Indians will play East Valley in a loser-out game in the first round of the regional tournament at 6 p.m. Tuesday at NC.

Mt. Spokane 60, East Valley 44: Kennadie Clute had 13 points and 10 rebounds and the Wildcats (5-17) outscored the Knights (6-16) 37-15 in the second half to advance to regional as the No. 3 seed. The Wildcats will play on the road against the No. 2 seed out of the Big Nine at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Great Northern

West Valley 47, Colville 42: Shaniqua Nilles and Hannah Love combined for 35 points and the Eagles (20-0, 14-0) rallied in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Indians (12-8, 7-7) 18-6 at WV.

Pullman 69, Clarkston 49: Shelby Cheslek had 28 points on 14-of-14 shooting and added 11 rebounds as the Greyhounds (15-5, 12-2) knocked off the Bantams (9-11, 7-7) in Pullman.

Medical Lake 46, Cheney 42: Amelia Cook finished with 13 points and the host Cardinals (9-11, 8-6) closed the regular season on a five-game winning streak with their win over the Blackhawks (9-11, 5-9).

Riverside 41, Deer Park 37: Joni Nagy and Courtney Davis each scored 11 and the Rams (3-17, 1-13) defeated the Stags (5-15, 2-12) in Deer Park.
