Opportunity to offer one service Sundays

Opportunity Presbyterian Church is altering its worship schedule to offer only one service each week at 10:30 a.m. beginning Sunday.

There will be a separate adult/youth education hour from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. During that time there will be activities for children in grades K-5. Sunday school will continue to be offered during the worship service.

Lenten worship

Peace Lutheran Church will begin offering Lenten soup suppers and worship every Wednesday beginning this week. The weekly gatherings, which will continue for five weeks, will begin with a soup supper at 6 p.m. and a half-hour worship service at 7 p.m. The service will combine elements of Taize worship and Celtic Christian worship. The church is at 4124 N. Harvard Road.

Hymn Sing

A community hymn sing is planned for Sunday from 3 to 4 p.m. at Berean Bible Church, 10910 E. Boone Ave. The event will include a mini concert by The Melody Singers. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted.
