Make that one and a half men

CBS has stopped production of television’s top-rated comedy, “Two and a Half Men,” while Charlie Sheen is in rehab.

Sheen’s publicist announced Tuesday that the 44-year-old actor has entered a treatment facility “as a preventative measure.” No specifics were released.

“We wish him nothing but the best as he deals with this personal matter,” CBS said in a statement that offered no timetable for when the show would resume taping.

The decision comes roughly two months after Sheen was arrested after a fight with his wife at his Aspen, Colo., home.

Prosecutors later charged him with felony menacing – which carries a maximum three-year prison term – and misdemeanor charges of third-degree assault and criminal mischief.

Sheen, who hasn not yet entered a plea, is due back in court March 15.

His wife, Brooke, is also in rehab for an undisclosed reason, her attorney said. She is asking that the charges be dismissed.

The clock will start ticking again for “24” when Kiefer Sutherland returns to the set Monday after surgery that shut down filming of the Fox network thriller for two weeks.

The studio says no disruption is expected in the airing schedule. The show began its eighth season last month.

Hero takes a fall?

“Heroes” actor Adrian Pasdar pleaded not guilty through his attorney Wednesday to misdemeanor drunken driving.

Pasdar, husband of Dixie Chicks singer Natalie Maines, was arrested Jan. 27 after authorities said he was swerving and speeding on an L.A. freeway.
