Stimulus story strays

The Spokesman-Review

Cathy McMorris Rodgers, our Republican U.S. representative, voted against the Recovery Act (stimulus) because as she said, “It did not address the major cause of growing unemployment – low job creation in the private sector.”

But as soon as our state got $35 million in stimulus funds for the North Spokane Corridor, which she petitioned for, she was quick to let us know what a great thing she had done for us by getting the funds and stimulating job growth and development.

Which side of her mouth is Ms. McMorris talking out of? Which side should we be listening to? The one “she” talks out of, or the one the Republican Party talks out of? Perhaps they are the same.

This is so typical of those that want to come to the party but don’t want anyone else to dance.
