Cal thumps Arizona

Jerome Randle scored 24 points and took over the game in the second half to help California move a step closer to clinching its first conference title in 50 years with a 95-71 victory over Arizona on Thursday night in Berkeley, Calif.

Jamal Boykin added 20 points and 10 rebounds, Theo Robertson scored 18, and Patrick Christopher had 14 for the Golden Bears.

Cal can clinch at least a share of its first Pac-10 title since 1960 by beating Arizona State on Saturday in its final home game of the regular season.

Arizona State 68, Stanford 60: Eric Boateng scored a career-high 24 points and Derek Glasser had 20, lifting Arizona State over Stanford in Palo Alto, Calif.

The Sun Devils remained alone in second place in the Pac-10, one-half game behind first-place California.

UCLA 65, Oregon State 56: Freshman Tyler Honeycutt scored 13 of his career-high 18 points in the first half and had 10 rebounds and four assists as short-handed UCLA defeated the Beavers in Los Angeles.

Oregon 54, Southern Cal 44: Tajuan Porter scored 16 points to lead Oregon past Southern California in Los Angeles.

The Ducks were trailing 44-42 with a little more than six minutes to go but finished on a 12-0 run.
