Man sentenced for lethal blow

BOISE – A Boise man whose punch to the face killed a friend has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Josh Luman, 27, was sentenced Thursday in 4th District Court.

He pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter earlier this year.

Prosecutors say Luman punched Noah Hopper over a bottle of beer while the two were in Julia Davis Park after a night of drinking.

Luman said he realizes he should have taken Hopper to the hospital right away rather than waiting 15 hours.
