Can’t hold? Washington jobless center calls back

Associated Press

Tired of waiting on hold for the Washington unemployment claims center to answer your call?

No problem; it will call you back without losing your place in line.

The Employment Security Department says it has adopted technology called “virtual hold” to deal with large numbers of the jobless filing claims.

Callers are informed of the wait time and asked if they would like to be called back.

The department says the average phone wait time in November was 13 minutes.
