Bullpups pull away

Visiting Gonzaga Prep broke a 40-all tie in the fourth quarter to defeat Lewis and Clark 57-45 Friday night and maintain a share of second place in Greater Spokane League boys basketball.

Gonzaga Prep (9-1, 4-1 GSL) made 6 of 8 shots in the final period to pull away from the Tigers (4-6, 2-3). The Bullpups share second with Mead, which handed them their only loss, behind Shadle Park (4-0). North Central (3-1) is half a game back, also with one league setback.
