Cal tops Trojans

Jerome Randle scored 21 points and Theo Robertson added 20, leading California to a 67-59 victory over Southern Cal at Berkeley, Calif., on Saturday night.

Dwight Lewis led the Trojans (10-6, 2-2 Pac-10) with 20 points, while Alex Stepheson had 12 and Nikola Vucevic 11.

The Trojans led 50-43 with 9:40 to play, but the Golden Bears (10-5, 2-1), using a smaller, quicker lineup, battled back.

Stanford 70, UCLA 59: Jeremy Green scored a career-high 30 points, Landry Fields added 16 points and Stanford pulled off an impressive sweep of the Los Angeles schools by defeating UCLA at Stanford, Calif.

Jack Trotter added 10 points and Jarrett Mann dished out eight assists as Stanford (8-7, 2-1 Pac-10) snapped a six-game losing streak in the series.

Nikola Dragovic led UCLA (7-9, 2-2) with 13 points.
