Safety yes, revenue no

The Spokesman-Review

While red light cameras could be used for public safety, they clearly are being used for revenue instead. The majority of tickets being handed out are for coming to a rolling stop before turning right on a red while traffic is already stopped. That does not prevent accidents but brings in tons of revenue.

Although it is a ticketable offense, it is not a public safety issue. Let’s concentrate on public safety instead of revenue, Mayor Verner. When I voted for her I thought I was voting for wisdom and discernment. It is not just “interesting.”
