Spokane kid picked for ‘PICME’

Thanks to modern technology, a Spokane preschooler is about to become a TV star.

Three-year-old Damian Carrera Ordaz will be featured in Thursday’s episode of “PICME,” a new show on the PBS KIDS Sprout network.

Using 2-D Flash animation, “PICME” puts children directly into stories alongside animal friends Juno, Gertie, Banjo, Umi, Clarence and Neville.

Parents submit photos of their children to appear on animated bodies, and winners are selected at random.

The “PICME” episode “The Puzzle” is scheduled to air during the 2 to 3 p.m. hour Thursday on Comcast Cable Channel 118.
